First reviews of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part II !
THR loves it :
"An outstanding capper to the most lucrative film franchise of all time."
DAILY TELEGRAPH loves it :
"This is monumental cinema, awash with gorgeous tones, and carrying an ultimate message that will resonate with every viewer, young or old: there is darkness in all of us, but we can overcome it."
DAILY MAIL loves it :
"The entire series of Potter books and motion pictures has been leading us to this final showdown between Harry and Voldemort. It could easily have been a letdown. But the fight here between good and evil is more than satisfying. It's thrilling."
THIS IS LONDON likes it :
"You need a deep grounding in Potter-lore to make the slightest bit of sense out of it, but that won't be a problem for most people who see this film. Millions of children, parents, and those who should know better won't need reminding what a Horcrux is - and director David Yates does not let them down. In fact, in some ways, he helps make up for the shortcomings of the final book."
VARIETY likes it but misses the catharsis :
"Tears will be shed as fans bid farewell to Hogwarts, but catharsis remains just out of reach"
